About me
I AM AN ART HISTORIAN CURRENTLY COMPLETING MY D.PHIL. AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY (TRINITY COLLEGE) AND AM MARRIED TO THE FRENCH ARTIST MICHEL LE GOFF. WE HAVE A 12 MONTH OLD SON HADRIAN AND LIVE HALF OF THE YEAR ON A GREEK ISLAND CALLED HYDRA AND HALF IN FLORENCE ITALY. TOGETHER WE RUN 'STUDIO VERITAS' AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE RESEARCH OF OLD MASTER PAINTINGS.
What I'm interested in:
  • ART
    Art History : Not only my academic field but also my personal area of interest. I collect Italian paintings of the Bolgonese School proto-Baroque and favouring small format paintings on copper. I am largely opposed to much of what is inflicted upon the public today by contemporary artists and endeavour to promote a return to the re-appreciation of living artists who exhibit real skill and invention in what they create.
  • MUSIC & OPERA
    I share with my husband a passion for Baroque music especially Telemann, Gluck, Handel and Vivaldi. We enjoy attending Opera performances (of good quality) in the leading Opera houses of Europe.
  • CUISINE
    Vehemently opposed to the fastfood culture that threatens to engulf the world, we regard the art of dining as an essential part of life and actively seek out authentic traditional dishes wherever we travel.
